What the Work Looks Like

We are a private chef service, not a restaurant. You travel to the guest’s villa, cook a full menu for anywhere between two and twenty people, clean down and go home. No twelve-hour shifts, no tickets stacking up on the pass.

For events with more than ten guests an assistant chef comes along, and you are the one directing them: splitting the work, keeping the pace and making sure the result still meets the standard. Being able to lead in the kitchen matters as much as being able to cook.

Chef Putu leads the kitchen with over 15 years of experience; Norwegian Cruise Line, luxury villas and some of Bali’s best restaurants; and is HACCP certified. That standard applies to the whole team, and it is what we train people to.

We work across ten areas of Bali: Ubud, Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta, Uluwatu, Sanur, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Singaraja, Lovina.

What We Ask

English

Our guests come from all over the world and you are the one meeting them in the villa kitchen. It does not need to be perfect, but you must be comfortable taking orders and explaining dishes.

Experience

At least two years in a professional kitchen; hotel, restaurant, villa or catering. What counts is what you can do alone in a kitchen you have never seen before.

Living in our areas

You need your own transport and to be able to reach the villa on time. Most events start in the late afternoon. Travel costs to the event are reimbursed.

Hospitality mindset

You are cooking in someone’s home. Being courteous, working tidily and leaving the kitchen cleaner than you found it matter as much to us as the food.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to speak Indonesian to apply?

The job itself is in English with our guests, but the kitchen and the application process run in Indonesian. Our vacancy pages are written in Indonesian for that reason.

Do I need to already live in Bali?

For this hiring round, yes. Events are often scheduled at short notice and you need to reach the villa on time, so we prioritise applicants living near our ten service areas.

What does the selection process involve?

A WhatsApp conversation, a cooking test against our menus, a food-safety and hygiene check, and one paid real event alongside Chef Putu. Rounds run through November and December 2026.
